Legal form and jurisdiction

Kapari is run by a French sole proprietor established in the European Union. That is the whole structure. There is no US corporation, no state registration, no EIN, no US office. We would rather say so on this page than let you discover it during a vendor review.

What that means in practice: the European privacy standard applies to the service by default, for every user, not just European ones. Our privacy policy spells out the rights that come with it. Governing law and jurisdiction sit in the terms of use, and we do not restate them here.

On taxes: invoices carry no VAT, under the French small-business exemption (franchise en base, article 293 B of the French tax code). We take no position on US sales tax.

Where the service physically runs

Two separate facts, and both belong on this page. The hosting company is Hostinger International Ltd, 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. The machine is a dedicated virtual server (VPS) located in Paris, France, running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. A company registered in one country can run servers in another, so we name both.

What we own, and what we borrow

Ours: the Kapari name and brand, the text on this site, the interface, the source code, the visual identity, and the structure of the knowledge base behind the panels. Reusing any of it takes written permission. Ask for it at contact@kapari.eu.

Not ours: the public data we build on. It stays the property of the organizations that produced it. We name them instead of passing their work off as ours.

US federal statistics: the US Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and other federal agencies whose figures sit in the data behind our panels, including the Department of Labor, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Federal Trade Commission.
Open datasets pulled through data.gov, which remain the property of the agencies that publish them.
Published research found through OpenAlex, which remains the property of its authors and publishers.
Figures published by research organizations such as Gallup, Pew Research Center, and Ipsos, when our panel data cites them. Those numbers are theirs. We cite them. We do not own them, and we never restate them as our own findings.

This is the ownership side of a rule that runs through the whole product: we publish no number we have not read in a source we can name.

What the service is

Kapari builds a panel of synthetic profiles and simulates how they would react to a decision you write. You read the range of reactions, the objections that carry weight, and where the panel splits, before you announce anything for real.

It is not a poll. It is not a survey. It is not an opinion measurement, not a representative sample, and not a prediction. No real person is interviewed. What comes out is AI-generated: a range of plausible reactions, useful while you prepare a decision, and nothing more. It is not professional, legal, financial, or market-research advice, and the decision stays yours. The terms of use set the limits of what you can do with the results, including showing them to third parties.

Both language versions describe the same operator, the same registration, and the same servers. If the two ever drift apart, the French version governs.
